The energy transition is reshaping the offshore services sector. Selective Marine is actively preparing for a future where our vessels and technical teams service both conventional oil & gas assets and the rapidly expanding offshore wind market.

Our Transition Strategy

We have identified three core areas of convergence between our existing capabilities and the requirements of the offshore wind sector:

Crew transfer operations — our OSV fleet is being evaluated for CTV (Crew Transfer Vessel) conversion to service North Sea wind farms
Heavy lift & installation — competencies built on jackup rig mobilisations translate directly to monopile and transition piece installation support
Subsea inspection — our ROV and inspection teams are qualified to work on subsea cable routes and foundation structures

By 2027, we project 20% of our contract portfolio will be derived from renewable energy projects, rising to 40% by 2030.
